Dr. Jennifer Walden: A Woman of Many Skills

Dr. Jennifer Walden, an acclaimed plastic surgeon, academic, and author, is without a doubt a successful, widely known and favored doctor and business owner. Walden first studied and graduated from medical school in her home state at University of Texas Medical Branch before moving to New York to further her career in a fellowship of aesthetic surgery at the Manhattan Eye, Ear, and Throat Hospital. She continued to work seven and a half years in New York after the fellowship, taking part in clinical trials that would advance silicone breast implants.

Following the birth of her twin sons, Dr. Walden moved back to Austin, Texas to be closer to family where she then opened her own private practice, Jennifer L. Walden, M.D. PLLC, and Walden Cosmetic Surgery Center, PLLC.

 

Since then, Walden has been honorably mentioned and recognized in media publications including Harper’s Bazaar’s April 2014 issue where she was selected as one of the ’24 Best Beauty Surgeons.’ She has been featured as a guest star on multiple national television outlets such as VH1’s Plastic Surgery Obsession, NBC’s The Today Show, Fox News Channel, and she even has her own lifestyle segment, “Looking Good and Living Well With Dr. Jennifer Walden’ on an Austin based local ABC station.

Publications include being featured on covers of Texas MD, Austin MD, Italian Vogue, and her words have been printed in articles of Vogue, Teen Vogue, New York Magazine, Cosmopolitan, and more.

 

Dr. Jennifer Walden coauthored a textbook entitled Aesthetic Plastic Surgery with Sherrell J. Aston and Douglas S. Steinbrech. Walden has worked as a consultant to the nation’s leading aesthetic companies Ideal Implant, Venus Concept, and ThermiAesthetics. As a philanthropist, Walden has volunteered and given generously to help those less fortunate, and she even stated that it’s been one of the more rewarding experiences in her life. The Austin Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, a campaign to raise funds to research blood cancers, chose Dr. Jennifer Walden as the runner-up for Austin’s Woman of the Year in June 2016.

 

To this day, Jennifer Walden remains a dedicated cosmetic surgeon, philanthropist, and mom.
