This was written after attending a Grateful Dead concert in JFK Stadium in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. I was sitting up above the crowd in the bleachers and could see the dancers move more enthusiastically during peaks of the music... less motion during gentle passages... as the dynamics of the improvization ebbed and flowed, the dancers moved accordingly... like sea anemones moving in the currents of the ocean...  I also mention the Spectrum in Philadelphia... It has many blinking advertisements for Atlantic city casinos in the area where refreshments were being served...

Depleted Uranium is the waste created by atomic power plants. It has a half life of 3 billion years. That means it has to be guarded to prevent terrorists from stealing it and using it to create a dirty bomb. Nuclear Metals of Concord Mass used the depleted Uranium to manufacture bullets and shells for warfare. This company went bankrupt and the EPA has declared it a Superfund Cleanup site.

Not clean... DU causes miscarriages... DU was used in the war in Yugoslavia and the war in Iraq. Both countries have experienced reduced birth rates... Here in Eureka, California PG&E is doing research to get electricity from ocean waves. Off shore, contraptions that look like buoys float up and down endlessly. The motion of the ocean drives alternators and electricity is created. This power source is infinite as it is fundamentally created by the moon orbiting the eARTh. Where is the funding for wave power? Where is the funding for Solar? Where is the funding for Geothermal?

We experienced what they call a 6.5 centered in Ferndale (about 10 miles from here). Some things fell off the shelves but no one hurt. My Friend V. had flashlights and we always have a lot of candles. We use citronella candles to keep the bugs out of the house during the summer... I read my book to the light of three small candles...

We could reduce spending on law enforcement and prisons while increasing voluntary taxation. I would pay zero because I don't smoke marijuana and I don't care if you do. Why let criminals keep all the profit? Dear Arnold Schwarzenegger: Thanks for starting the debate about legalizing Marijuana.

I read in the newspaper that "Americans for Safe Access" is suing the US Government for lying. The lawsuit contends that classification of Marijuana as a schedule 1 drug is intentionally false. Schedule 1 drugs have "no medicinal value" and all scientific research says that Medicinal Marijuana has therapeutic value. That's why The California voters passed Prop 215.

This was written at a time that we were living in Chico California and were surrounded by a corral with 4 horses. We were also growing many plants including morning glory flowers that eventually got so tall that they climbed up to the roof of the little house. The tomato plants produced an abundance of food... quite a miracle...
